Capture the glow of our typically spectacular sunsets and surround yourself with our warm hospitality, rich history and state-of-the-art attractions. Whether you want to experience the famous cowtowns, see the ancient hunting grounds of the Arapaho and Cheyenne Indians, find excellent birding opportunities, learn about the buffalo soldiers or explore several bison-filled regions, the destinations you wish to see are just down the road.
Many parks welcome groups, so if you’re planning a large gathering, caravaning with friends or hosting an RV rally, you’ll find parks that offer great services for your event. From these web sites you’ll be able to see what the park or campground offers. You can contact the park directly for reservation information.
All 23 Kansas state parks offer camping, usually within walking distance of a lake or stream. The oldest state park, Kanopolis, ranks among the most popular. Fourteen campgrounds offer a combined total of nearly 400 modern and primitive campsites along the shore of 3,500-acre Kanopolis Lake. Nearly 25 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails wind through the 1,600-acre park.
We hope you enjoy your Kansas experience.
