Glacial Hills Scenic Byway
From Leavenworth, First City of Kansas, to the Nebraska state line, the 63-mile stretch of K-7 that forms the Glacial Hills Scenic Byway plays tag with the Missouri River. Drivers cruising this ribbon of highway in northeast Kansas are following the footsteps of explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. You can see the river from lofty overlooks in bluff top towns such as Atchison, birthplace of Amelia Earhart.
