Kansas Day

Kansas became a state January 29, 1861, and celebrates its 148th birthday January 29, 2009.

This year the Governor will lead a celebration at the Kansas Museum of History. The theme of the day will be to commemorate President Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday and the 150th anniversary of him visiting the Kansas terrority.
