Greetings from the new owners Mark, Deb, and their yorkie, Sophie! WaKeeney KOA is midway between Denver and Kansas City with easy access to and from I-70.
At Exit 127, turn left on the frontage road beside EconoLodge and follow it all the way to the campground. For those traveling with RVs or pulling a trailer or both, no worries here, the long, level pull through sites have plenty of room for the "Big Rigs" and don't require you to unhook. The Tent sites are large and private with water and electric close by. For those that want to camp without the tent, there are Cabins that are close to the restrooms, showers and laundry. There is also cable at most of the sites and the Wireless Internet is FREE.
All of the sites have green lawns to relax in. There is plenty of room for you to walk your canine companions, take a dip in the pool, go for a spin on a pedal go-cart, pitch some horse-shoes, play ping-pong or let the resident songbirds serenade you as you enjoy a beautiful sunset. In the summer, head to the country store for an old-fashioned ice cream social, complete with root beer floats. In the mornings, visit the country kitchen and store for a pancake breakfast. If you like to golf, stay an extra day and play at the Big Creek Golf Course only a mile away.
ATTENTION HUNTERS! The campground will be open for the 2011 season until December 15, 2011 especially for all you hunters.
Their goal is to make your stay a pleasant one to remember.
