Sedgwick County Zoo

Visitors to the 247-acre zoo can see amazing animals in imaginative and naturalistic exhibits including the Africa, North American, Children's Farm, Koch Orangutan and Chimpanzee Habitat, Cessna Penguin Cove and Jungle. Immerse yourself in The Downing Gorilla Forest reserve. The nationally renowned zoo is among the top 25 largest in the U.S. The Slawson Family Tiger Trek, is designed to feel like an bamboo forest, houses red panda, brow-antlered deer, and tigers. Boat tours, concessions and gift shop are available. Sedgwick County Zoo is heavily involved in research and conservation and boasts several successful breeding programs for endangered species. Guam rails, Amur leopards, African lions and Puerto Rican crested toads are some of the recent significant successes of these breeding programs.
