The Emma Chase Cafe described in "Prairy Erth" serves country home-cookin' daily. Stop by for morning coffee & conversation from 9 to 11 a.m.; and for a delightful home-cooked lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Select from the "Heritage Menu" of Bison, Elk and Black Angus meats, and other local entree favorites. Remember - PIE Fixes Everything! Open 7 days a week from April 1 to November 30; closed Mondays from December 1 to March 31. The Emma Chase Cafe is open every Friday evening (except for 1st Friday night in June)from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for a special Menu (including Fried Catfish) prior to the famous Friday Night Jam Sessions, (voted an 8 Wonder of Kansas/Customs), and for the occasional specially advertised Saturday evening Concerts. The Sunday Dinner menu includes Pan-Fried Chicken and Chicken-Fried Steak. The adjacent Emma Chase Country Store features country gift items; Miss Emma's home-made jams and jellies; and her signature, home-made AppleButter. Miss Emma welcomes groups (please call for reservations for groups of 8 or more), and is delighted to serve large tour groups by advance arrangement.
