Dr. Galen Switzer - Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at University of Pennsylvania since 1996. His current research focuses on psychosocial issues in organ and tissue donation and transplantation. For the past several years, he has collaborated closely with the National Marrow Donor Program to investigate unrelated hematopoietic stem cell donors' motivations, decision-making processes, and donation-related experiences. In addition, he consults regularly with other faculty, fellows, and residents on psychometric issues at the Center for Research on Health Care (CRHC) and at the VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion (CHERP), where he is co-chief of the Measurement Core. Dr. Switzer is a graduate of McPherson College, 1985.
