Kansas State 2-1A Volleyball Championships

An exciting closure to the volleyball season for Class 1A schools takes place at Gross Coliseum on the campus of Fort Hays State University. The City of Hays is an excellent location for these KSHSAA State Tournaments because of the geographical location of many of the smaller schools in western Kansas. The facility at FHSU provides an exciting atmosphere for these spirited tournaments. School activities in smaller schools draw not only family members in attendance but the community as well. Of the 95 schools in 1A, 8 schools in each division survive regional and sub-state play to earn a trip to Hays. Often times these smallest schools have the biggest crowds at state events.
