Fall Cattle Drive

Moore Ranch is a working ranch located near Dodge City. Moore Ranch allows guests to come out and experience the Old West lifestyle they live everyday. The Moore's will be trailing some of their longhorn cows from their ranch near Bucklin, KS to winter pasture near Mullinville, KS. Guests mount up and drive the longhorns over the prairie and see some very beautiful and peaceful scenery. A chuckwagon comes along to haul the grub which is cooked in dutch ovens. Coffee is brewed over the open fire. Relaxing under the stars in a bedroll or in a cowboy teepee wraps up the day. Ranch horses are matched to the ability of the rider. For the rider with little or no experience, a gentle horse can be arranged. If the rider is quite experienced, a mount can be provided to suit your ability. There are no put-ons here. This is honest-to-goodness cowboy life. Included in the cost is a horse, tack, equipment, all meals and lodging.
