Statue of Orphans outside museum

Once a month we’ll highlight the well-known sights and charming secrets of a Kansas town. Here, you’ll find details about a quaint rural community in the north central part of the state.Established in 1872, Concordia is home to the Whole Wall Mural, America’s longest sculpted brick mural. The 140-foot carved-brick wall showcases the history, people and places of the Cloud County area. Scenes include the Minersville camp where coal miners lived in the late 1800s, a biplane owned by aviator Charlie Blosser and the Republican River bridge constructed in 1893.
