As the sun rose on May 5, it gave the city’s 1,400 residents a clear view of the havoc caused by an F-5 tornado. Despite the loss and devastation, the city persevered to rebuild—but rebuild a new and environmentally friendly city.
My family and I took part in the Faces & Places Tour of Kansas last weekend, a trip starting in Greensburg and ending near Great Bend. Even as we started out, it was clear to me, you can live in Kansas your whole life and not see all of it. Every time I go somewhere for work I’m just amazed at the things I find.
