Pinterest is a great way to find a new recipe, learn how to organize the laundry room, or get a look at the latest fashion trends. It's an online version of a visual bulletin board. "Pinning" has become an obsession, with food being one of the major topics.
Now pinning can make you a winner. We're hosting a Pinterest recipe contest. Pin a photo of your favorite dish with the recipe that has a Kansas connection, and post a link to it in the comments here. Your recipe has to have one of the following Kansas products: wheat (flour), beef, pork, soybeans (includes soy flour) or corn. You have until Friday, May 10 to enter the contest. We'll choose a winner on Monday, May 13. The winner will receive a Cook Book written by Adrian Potter from Abilene's Victorian Inn, a member of the Kansas Bed & Breakfast Association. The cook book will also be autographed by the author!
If you haven't yet joined the ranks of people pinning, get a free account at pinterest.com. It's a great way to keep track of interesting things you see online and arrange them by categories, so you can find them again. We're betting you'll love it once you get started.
This is the perfect excuse to spend some time pinning, so you can enter the Pinterest Recipe Contest.
