This summer we’re kicking off the great Kansas “Faces & Places” tour – your chance to help promote Kansas tourism through social media and learn more about our state’s events and attractions.Starting June 4, state tourism officials and other Kansas travel enthusiasts (a.k.a. “roadies”) will visit 34 festivals and other venues in an eye-catching Chevy Suburban, sponsored by Ed Bozarth Chevrolet #1 Buick–GMC. This “mobile billboard,” which is covered in fun images of Kansas, is also a social media machine designed to let our fans online know what the Kansas experience is all about.At each stop along the tour, the roadies will be out talking with festival-goers and other visitors, snapping photos and shooting people-on-the-street videos to share with our social networks. The roadies will also hand out giveaways and encourage folks to share their videos and photos of the experience on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube.The 2011 “Faces & Places” tour features just a small sampling of the great locales to visit in Kansas this summer.
