Kansas event celebrates Scottish heritage with pipe and drum, dancing, food and more!

Whether you trace your family lineage back to Scotland or just long for the heritage and traditions of the British Isles, McPherson’s Scottish Festival & Highland Games is your ticket. Cheer on the traditional heavy athletics competitions, including caber turning and hammer and stone throwing. Take in colorful dance performances and pipe-and-drum band competitions, a presentation of tartans and even a Scotch whiskey tasting. Food vendors are on hand to satisfy Celtic cravings, including that one for Scottish meat pies. Come early and enjoy downtown shopping, then stay for the old-country fun.
