Henry’s Candy Company in Dexter Offers Sweet Results

There it was, the fancy cut rock candy I always found in my stocking on Christmas morning when I was a child. It was surrounded by all my grown-up holiday favorites - divinity, fudge, peppermint bark, peanut brittle, and old fashioned hard ribbon candy in red, green and white. They were all at Henry’s Candy Company in Dexter, where there are over 100 kinds of hand-produced candy just waiting to be unwrapped and savored.

Unusual Sandwich Earns A+ at Lindsborg’s Ol Stuga

School is back in session and one thing I’ve learned is that college towns have some of the best places to eat. My homework revealed the Ol Stuga in Lindsborg was a finalist last November in Good Morning America’s “Best Bites Challenge: College Edition” to find the best college town hangout with great food and a cool atmosphere. One of the reasons for the Ol Stuga’s high marks was the Brent Nelson Sandwich, so my assignment was to give this concoction a taste test.
