Discover Priceless Moments with your Kids: The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center

My favorite moment on our family’s recent trip to the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center was standing outside a Plexiglas-walled room watching my 3-year-old paint his name. He still gets the “J” backwards most of the time, but the concentration on his little face while mixing colors and spreading wide strokes across his temporary canvass was a priceless sight to see.

It IS an adventure: Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure

Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure, west of Salina, is a unique combination of zoo and museum that gives you an up close and personal look at rare and endangered species. The facility started with one man’s mission to house unusual animals and provide education to the local community. Seeing new things at old favorites in Wichita

Botanica This summer is the perfect time to visit Wichita. Two of the area’s biggest family attractions are at their best in the summer months, making Taw-town a great weekend destination. We used to live in Wichita, but that was before kids. Now, when we take the family back to visit Grandma and Grandpa I really appreciate the wide variety of fun things we can all enjoy while we’re there. For nice weather months, I highly recommend the Sedgwick County Zoo and Botanica – Wichita’s botanical gardens. On a recent trip, we took Grandma to Botanica in the morning and went to the zoo later in the day with Daddy.
